Eastside Cleveland Juniors is a Junior Olympic Volleyball Club
dedicated to teaching responsibility, discipline and work ethic through the sport
of volleyball. The Eastside staff is comprised of several high school and
college coaches, along with former college, high school and club players. Started in 1998, we field National,
American and Regional level teams. Last year, ECJ fielded 38 teams ranging in age from 10
to18. Of the 38 teams, 4 qualified
for the USA Volleyball Nationals. Eastside also won the OVR Bid Tourney at the 16 national level. Eastside is owned and operated by
individuals who are dedicated full time to promoting the sport of volleyball
and continuously improving the Eastside product.

ECJ Multi-Sport Policy
Eastside Cleveland Juniors believes it is important that
players are given the opportunity to participate in multiple sports or activities. Over the past 15 years we have accepted
hundreds of athletes that have played basketball, softball, track, lacrosse,
soccer and were involved in many other activities or sports. Over the past few years the perception that
Eastside does not accept multi-sport athletes has been created by
competitors. As a result, we have
implemented a policy to clarify the club position.
Eastside Cleveland Juniors will accept multi-sport athletes
on all teams aged 10-14. Multi-sport
athletes will also be accepted on all American and Regional teams aged 15-18. Coaches of National teams aged 15-18 will
have the option to accept or decline multi-sport athletes. Each of these will be made on an individual
basis.

Eastside Practice Cancellation Policy
Eastside
Cleveland Juniors will only cancel practice if Lake County is under a Level 2
Snow Emergency (weather is so bad that it is illegal to be driving). Parents of
players have the final say in regard to the safety of players attending
practice. If the parent feels the roads
are unsafe to drive, the player should not attend practice. Players should notify the coach and the
absence will be excused.
If
we are cancelling practice, all players will be emailed and texted by their
coach. It will also be posted on the Eastside website and communicated through TWITTER.
With
players from as far west as North Royalton and as far east as Ashtabula, it is
virtually impossible for us to decide on the practice for an entire team or
group. Also, players who have the opportunity to attend a practice even if
their teammates cannot, will be given that opportunity to improve.
